 A Stitch in Time: Our Roots in Needlecrafts

Okay, let’s take a quick stroll down memory lane.

Four years ago, MillyRose Crafts was born in Covid lockdowns from a need to "do something" and an on/off passion for needlecrafts.

For us, it all started with needle felting—the fun of stabbing at that wool was just so satisfying! I loved playing with all the vibrant colors, turning my ideas into little masterpieces. Each creation was a slice of me, bursting with personality. As MillyRose Crafts grew, we dove into embroidery, punch needle, cross stitch, and tons of other needle crafts. Then, health challenges and the need for more products pushed us to start sourcing stuff from around the globe. While some folks wish we only sold our designs, we believe that bringing in a variety of unique products really enhances what we offer and gives our customers way more choices.

Through our journey, we fostered a lovely community of fellow needle crafts who shared their love for crafting. Then as we explored more, we noticed a common thread linking our world of stitches and the vast universe of art supplies beyond.

Here’s where things get interesting! 🎉 As we supported our community of followers,in particular our embroidery crafters we discovered that many of you weren’t just picking up needle and thread. Nope, you were also diving into the world of watercolours and paints!

Whether you were sketching designs before stitching them out or using colours to inspire your threads, it became clear: there was a lovely correlation between embroidery and artist painting, especially watercolour.
