A Dragon Rises in the Studio: A Personal Tale of Two Scarves

A Dragon Rises in the Studio: A Personal Tale of Two Scarves

This week in the studio, amidst the focus on our new ribbon collections, I’ve been craving a moment of personal Zen. I am officially beginning a project that has been on my mind for a while: the "Dragon Scarf."

This is a personal labor of love. I’ll be making two of these magnificent dragons concurrently:

  • A vibrant rainbow version for my granddaughter.

  • A sophisticated black and grey version for my daughter.

I must give a massive shoutout to the pattern designer, Cottontail & Whiskers. Their design, available on their website , here is a masterpiece of texture! To bring them to life, I’m using the beautifully variegated Cygnet Boho yarn and my favourite JinLan wooden hooks.

An Ongoing Journey: Since this is a personal make, I’ve decided to share the progress with you! I’ll be posting a dedicated update here in Atelier Insights every Friday until these dragons are finished.

So watch this space as I believe the scales in crocodile stitch could be a challenge!!
